Gedichtinterpretation in Englisch

Also ich muss nächsten Montag ein Referat über ein Englisches Gedicht halten. Allerding hab ich nicht die geringst Ahnung, was man da so interbretieren könnte. Aber vielleicht hat es ja unter euch ein paar gute Gedichtekenner.
Hier noch das Gedicht:

Robert Frost: The road not taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the untergroth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less traveld by
And that has made all the difference.

ich kenne das gedicht, das haben wir in diesem schuljahr auch schon interpretiert :lol:
aber nur mündlich, deshalb hab ich nur ein paar stichpunkte

when: autumn morning
where: in a wood
main symbol: road
4 stances (strophen)
5 lines (pro strophe)
=> regular structure

he takes the road less used because he doesn't want to use the way everybody takes

the road is a symbol for the course of life, because you have to decide



so, das waren meine notizen
hmm, ich dachte, ich hätte mehr dazu, aber das war nicht grad mein lieblingsgedicht

Über den beat pattern hast du keine Angaben? Weil das ist noch was wichtiges, was mir fehlt.
Und vielleicht noch ein paar Symbole oder Metaphern?

Sorry, bis Sonntag abend in deiner Zeitzone hatte ich keine Zeit

First verse: A traveler stands at the parting of the road he has traveled on and now has to choose which road to take, thus he does not know where either of them leads.

Second verse: He traveles down the second road, which shows definite signs of footsteps and people having walked there. He chooses to go back and try the other roas.

Third verse: He takes the first road this time and stays on it, although he does not think that he is on a good path.

Fourth Verse: The traveler explains that he took the road that less people had traveled on to explore new grounds.
